’09 25-YRS TO LIFE SENTENCE 03-23-11 12:00 a.v.

A Salinas man was sentenced to spend 25-years-to-life-in-prison today for a 2009 fatal drive-by shooting. 21-year old Antonio Gayosso pleaded guilty last month to 1st degree murder for killing Salinas High School student, Jose Manuel Perez on August 6th. Perez was shot and killed while on his way to football practice, on the 500 block of Terrace Street. Gayosso is one of 4 men arrested in the shooting. The other 3 men, Juan Nunez, Julio Montoya, and Carlos Espinoza, are slated to return to court in May.
