Applications are now being accepted at the Monterey County Regional Taxi Authority for interim permits. Permits for new taxicab drivers, taxicab vehicles and taxicab companies start being issued today, and will be valid through December 31st at a prorated cost. Interim permit holders will have access to RTA jurisdictions which include Carmel-by-the-Sea, Del Rey Oaks, Monterey; Monterey County unincorporated area, Pacific Grove, Salinas, Sand City and Seaside.
