29 cats and kittens were rescued from a South Monterey County property week.Monterey County Sheriff’s Code Enforcement officers found the cats Tuesday living in reported “horrific” conditions in a single trailer off Jolon Road. The cats were brought to the SPCA shelter where they were given vaccinations and a medical evaluation, and many are being treated for upper respiratory infections. The case is now being referred to a District Attorney Officer for possible prosecution.
