A unanimous vote was approved last night that will now allow a Charter school in Monterey to operate. A 2-year permit was issued for Bay View Academy to open as long as a series of requirements are met by April 29th. Some of the conditions the school must comply with include revising the charter’s description of core programs, it’s written plans for low achieving students and English learners and it’s plans for student’s with special needs.
