Plans to build a new library in Capitola were discussed after community members met to share their vision for the new facility. Last night’s community “brainstorming” session follows a vote last year to build the new library at the site of the current Wharf Road structure. City staff are now working with community members on their input towards the design process. Some of the suggested ideas include adding a “teen space”, computers for small children and leasing space to a café operator. Construction for the new library is set for June 2018.
