Monday will mark the retirement of a Santa Cruz Judge. Richard J. McAdams has served as a Justice of the 6th District Court of Appeal since 2003. He was elevated to the post by then-Governor Gray Davis, after having spent 5-years as a Santa Cruz Superior Court Justice, and 21-years as a Santa Cruz Municipal Court Judge. 67-year-old McAdams helped establish several legal-aid organizations during his career in law, including the founding of Senior Citizens Legal Services in 1972.
