A 90-thousand-dollar grant has been announced for the Watsonville Police Department, to help administer a program designed to reduce domestic violence. The grant was given by Verizon, and is expected to be used to fund a program sponsored by the non-profit group Kid-Power. Kid-Power works with the Watsonville Police Department and other organizations, and will use the grant to provide advice and training on domestic and relationship intervention skills.
