A 20-year-old Watsonville man has been arrested, after being identified as a suspect in an assault last month. Roberto Meza faces charges of attempted murder, after a group of people beat a juvenile with bats, and stabbed the victim several times. The victim has been treated and released from a bay area trauma center. Meza was re-arrested at Santa Cruz County Jail, where he was already being held for a strong-armed robbery. Watsonville police officers are still looking for the other suspects in the beating, which happened on the 7-hundred block of Madison Street on January 23rd.
