Police in Santa Cruz are searching for a man who attempted to sexually assault a woman Tuesday night. The 20-year old woman was threatened by the man while she was walking across the San Lorenzo River railroad bridge around 11:10 p.m. The man, who approached the woman from the opposite direction, brandished a knife and made a sexual request from a few feet away before the woman ran. The suspect is described as a white male in his mid 30s, 5-feet-6-inches tall, with a medium build, blonde or light brown hair, light eyes and complexion.
