A company, who’s been a fixture on the Westside of Santa Cruz for nearly 50-years, will be moving. Officials at Good Earth Tea, say production was shut-down last month for an anticipated move to New Jersey. The company initially started out in Santa Cruz as Fmali Herb in 1972, and was sold in 2005 to Tetley, a division of Tata, the second largest tea manufacturer in the world. The closure of the Almar Avenue plant displaced 47-people, however 1 employee from the research and development department is reportedly staying on with Tetley.
