At their meeting scheduled for tomorrow, Watsonville City Council members are set to consider adding a bicycle race to the line-up of this year’s Strawberry Festival. The 17th annual Watsonville Strawberry Festival at Monterey Bay is scheduled for August, and the city council is considering adding a Criterium bike race. A criterium is a race with laps, as opposed to a long-distance race. A 10-thousand dollar prize would be offered by a local sponsor. Council members are set to meet at 6:30 tomorrow evening, in council chambers at 275 Main Street, on the 4th floor.
