The Bomb Squad was called to the scene last night after a suspicious device was found in the Salinas area. An ambulance responded to a crash at the North Davis overpass of West Market Street at around 5:30 p.m. and noticed what appeared to be a pipe bomb lying in the road. Several businesses were evacuated and roads in the area were closed until the bomb squad discovered the device was a steel pipe. Roads were re-opened as of 9:30 p.m.
