Monterey Peninsula College received high marks in a statewide audit this week. The audit, which evaluated 36-California community colleges for their responsiveness to public record requests, tested each district’s compliance with state public records laws when receiving a request from an unknown person. MPC had a timely response to the request for information, provided all the information requested and did not question the identity of the person making the request. According to an audit official, the college received an A-plus.
