A bike ride to celebrate cycling and to showcase some safe, lesser known routes from U.C Santa Cruz to town and around the westside, is slated to take place this weekend. The ride, hosted by the group People Power, is scheduled for Sunday February 6th from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Participants are asked to meet on the porch of the OPERS office located at the East Field House at UCSC for an 8 to 10 mile ride. Riders are also asked to bring a bike in good working condition, a helmet and rain gear. The cost is $5 for UCSC students and People Power members, and $10 for other cyclists.
