A search warrant was served this afternoon at the home of a man posing as a fake veterinarian in Monterey County. SPCA humane officers went to the Pennsylvania Avenue home in Salinas looking for Damian Maldonado, who performed procedures on multiple pit bull puppies in Soledad while unlicensed. The puppies were surrendered to the SPCA with infections on their ears from the botched procedures. Maldonado is described as Hispanic, weighs up to 210 pounds, and up to 5-feet-10-inches tall.
