Future plans for the historic Rispin Mansion in Capitola are on hold as council members wait to see where state funding stands. Council members met last week in an effort to discuss whether to demolish the structure, which is currently owned by the city, or restore it through a private/public partnership with a San Jose Builder. Since Governor Jerry Brown has proposed to eliminate the state’s redevelopment agencies, further plans for the Wharf Road structure that was built in 1921, are still on a wait and see basis.
