A public meeting is slated to be held in Santa Cruz tonight to address several major crimes that have occurred near the Garfield Park area. About 2 weeks ago an armed robbery took place on Bellevue Street when a man was robbed by 5 people wearing masks, and a home invasion took place on Fair Avenue recently, where one person was hit over the head with a gun. Police and city leaders will be on-hand to hear people’s concerns as well as provide safety tips. The meeting is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. at Pacific Collegiate School on Swift Street.
