A former U.C. Santa Cruz student was killed over the weekend during a snowboarding accident at a Lake Tahoe ski resort. 22-year old Rasheka Keith of Oakland suffered blunt force trauma Saturday after she rode her snowboard like a sled backwards (without wearing a helmet) when she struck a ski-lift tower pole at Granlibakken Resort on Tahoe’s West Shore. An autopsy is slated for this week. Keith attended U.C.S.C from 2006 to 2010 and majored in psychology.
