A U.C. Santa Cruz student was killed over the weekend during a snowboarding accident at a Lake Tahoe ski resort. The student, who has been identified as Rasheka Keith of Oakland, was said to have suffered blunt force trauma after sitting on her snowboard and using it as a sled when ran the tower pole at the Granlibakken Resort on Tahoes West Shore on Saturday. An autopsy is still pending. Keith is said to have been involved in the University’s theatre department.
