tamale recall 01/06/11 10pm TDH

San Francisco-based homestead pasta company is recalling nearly 1-hundred-45-thousand pounds of tamales, after a labeling mistake was discovered.   The tamales contain whey, which is a dairy allergen for many people.  The frozen products were produced between last april and this month, and sold under names including garibaldi, golden west, and casper homestead pasta company tamales.   No illness were reported. The products were sold in Washington, Oregon, and throughout California.
