A free shuttle service for impaired drivers will be provided in Santa Cruz County for Capitola residents during the New Years evening. Volunteers with the Capitola Police Department are offering the shuttle service for those calling within the City of Capitola who need a ride home between the areas of Aptos and Santa Cruz, or those Capitola residents needing a ride home from the Aptos and Santa Cruz areas. The shuttle will give rides home for the evening from 9 p.m. to 3 a.m., and will not be given to another celebration location. The phone number to call for a ride home is 475-4935.
