Employees of Salinas Valley Memorial Hospital are planning on protesting outside of the hospital tomorrow. The Picketing, which is said to take place at the entrance to the hospital between 2:30 and 5 p.m. tomorrow afternoon, comes after hospital officials say they have reached an impasse with the union to formalize a structure for 20 impending layoffs. The layoffs are said to include nurses, administrative and other hospital staff.
