B.C. POWER OUTAGE 12-27-10 11:30 a.v.

Pacific Gas & Electric crews are working to restore power to hundreds of homes in Boulder Creek after a downed tree caused power to go out early this morning at around 3:20 a.m. Officers arrived on scene about 10 minutes after a report was received of a blown transformer that caught on fire near the intersection of Bear Creek Road and Nellie Lane. Power initially was knocked out to about 700 customers, but service has been restored to about 300 homes. All power is expected to be restored by 3 p.m. this afternoon
