Charges were dropped this afternoon against 2 Salinas men accused of murdering a Castroville teen over the weekend. A Monterey County judge found that there wasn’t enough evidence to support charging 21-year old Stephen Mario Garza and 18-year old Jeffrey Dalton Lopez with murder after 18-year old Efren Hernandez was gunned down Saturday. The two were arrested following a car and foot chase that ended in Salinas after the fatal shooting.
