A 60-year old Watsonville man faces 12-years in jail after admitting today to committing sexual abuse with a teen girl. Juan Jose Avila Escamilla was arrested in August and was charged with several felonies relating to one victim. In a plea agreement, Escamilla pleaded guilty to one count of continuous and long-term sexual abuse of a child younger than 14. He was facing a maximum 16-year sentence, but is expected to get 12 years instead. Formal sentencing is set for February 28th.
