Scotts Valley School leaders have agreed to hire a professional polling firm to gain public input on the possibility of raising taxes . Board members agreed last night (tues) to spend up to $20,000 on a poll to gauge whether 2-thirds of voters would support a parcel tax to help the School District address it’s current fiscal challenges. The board refrained from picking a polling firm but did decide to work with district administrators and community members to decide on a specific firm within the next week. District officials hope to have the poll conducted by early next month.
