Santa Cruz County leaders yesterday approved a study for a master plan project for 7-miles of Soquel Drive and nearby areas. Planning staff are expected to begin working on a grant-funded project next summer to identify economic development and other opportunities as part of the plan, including work on the Poor Clares site. Santa Cruz County supervisor John Leopold, is reportedly working with planning officials about getting residents involved in the Soquel Drive Corridor Study.
