2 men suffered non-life threatening stab wounds during an alleged gang-related attack in Monterey yesterday. The victims, 18-year old Salinas resident Rafael Villegas, and 19-year old Seaside resident Jesse Salgado, were walking near Casa Verde Way and Encina Avenue at around 10:30 last night when they were confronted by a man who stabbed them. Villegas suffered injuries to his face and left arm while Salgado sustained injuries to his torso. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Monterey County Sheriff’s Department.
