WVILLE GOLD COIN DONATION 12-01-10 08:00 a.v.

A gold coin, believed to be worth up to $1,500, was donated to the Salvation Army over the weekend. The anonymous donation was a Canadian coin and was dropped off into a Salvation Army Red Kettle out front of a Watsonville Walgreens. Salvation Army officials say the generous donation comes at an appropriate time for Watsonville as Red Kettle revenues are down 4.5% across California. The Salvation Army has reported a much needed increase for assistance among local communities.
