The Santa Cruz S.P.C.A. has been recognized with several top-honors, in a poll conducted by the magazine “The American Dog.” Santa Cruz SPCA’s Executive Director Lisa Carter was named the top lobbyist in the country, for animal welfare. The Santa Cruz SPCA’s animal shelter was named the 3rd-best shelter in the nation, in a poll which saw 27-thousand votes cast. The agency’s website was also honored, being named the best website in the nation, for animal welfare. The local agency will be awarded a 3-page spread in the next issue of “The American Dog,” which reaches roughly 5-hundred-thousand people around the country.
