MCO REWARD OFFERED FOR DOG ABUSERS 12-09-10 20:50 a.v.

A $500,000 reward is being offered for information leading to the arrest and conviction of those responsible for abusing a puppy in Monterey County. On December 1st, a young male dog was reported running loose in the neighborhood on the 200 block of Espinosa Road, just south of Castroville, when the dog was found bleeding. Authorities believe the owners of the 1-year old dog pointer mix attempted to neuter the dog before he was rushed to the Center Animal Hospital in Castroville to undergo an emergency neuter surgery. Authorities believe the dog had a band around his testicles for at least 5-days before he was found. To report cases of animal abuse in Monterey County, contact The SPCA’s at (831) 373-2631 or 422-4721 ext. 213.
