In celebration of the 1st recorded county fair in the United States, officials with the Santa Cruz County Fair have selected a theme for their 2011 fair. According to Fair Manager Michael Bethke, the theme “Dancing with the Steers for 200 Years”, ties the event to local farming and ranching, and reminds residents that Santa Cruz County has been celebrating some type of county fair since 1885. The Santa Cruz County Fair will be held next year from September 13th through September 18th.
