During their annual meeting this week in Monterey, the president of the California Farm Bureau announced the need for greater lobbying efforts and donations. Ca. Farm Bureau President, Paul Wenger encouraged family farmers and ranchers during the 93rd annual meeting, the importance of receiving a $1,000 donation by each of the 4,500 farm owners, along with the importance of water development and stored water in the state. The state’s 53-county farm bureau delegates worked during the 3-day meeting on setting new policies and goals to guide the organization’s work during the next year.
