The big sur land trust continues to grow. A 317-acre parcel has been added to the protected space, which will preserve the san jose creek watershed. The property above point lobos is called the whisler-wilson ranch, and was purchased for 4-million dollars. The big sur land trust is expected to hold onto the property for a few years, as plans are made to make the area into public lands, complete with a network of trails and parks.
