A man in a sleeping bag was found dead in Watsonville on Thanksgiving Day. Emergency personnel responded around 8 a.m. to the Freedom Centre at Freedom and Airport Boulevards, to find the 60-year old transient lying on the ground in a walkway near the southeast corner of the center. The man was pronounced dead at the scene after failing to respond to efforts made by paramedics to revive him.
