GRAHAM HILL ROAD PLAN TO BEGIN 11-26-10 18:50 a.v.

Plans to move ahead with a road safety improvement project in Felton, are expected to start in January. The project aims at reducing accidents on a stretch of Graham Hill Road, between San Lorenzo Valley and Santa Cruz. The 2.7 million dollar plan calls fro adding a shoulder on the east side of the road and re-doing drainage along a narrow half mile section near the entrance to Roaring Camp Railroad. Traffic is expected to be delayed after lanes will be reduced to one lane. Tree removal for the project is expected to start in January with construction to follow in April, completion expected by the fall.
