Parade, Salinas 11/26/10 6:45am TDH

The 10th-annual holiday parade of lights is set to be held this Sunday, in Salinas.   The free event is expected to draw as many as 35-thousand people, to see 25-floats roll from acacia street to the national Steinbeck center.   The parade starts at 6 p.m., and there are several pre-parade events planned, including a barbeque at 3 p.m. at the corner of san luis and main streets, and a kids activity center at the maya cinemas, which is scheduled to open at 4 p.m.   Organizers say the event will be held rain or shine, although forecasts do call for clear skies on Sunday evening.
