2 Salinas men, who are alleged gang members, have been arrested on attempted murder charges. 30 year-old Armando Islas and 21 year-old Daniel Garza allegedly held a clerk at a Salinas liquor store at gunpoint. When the clerk did not hand over any money, the suspect pulled the trigger. The gun did not fire, and Salinas police officers apprehended the men a short distance away. Both men were booked into Monterey County Jail.
