n an effort to protect motorists during this holiday period, a maximum enforcement period has been put into force by the California Highway Patrol. The enforcement period begins at 6 p.m. today and is said to continue through 11:59 p.m. this Sunday. The Thanksgiving enforcement period coincides with the statewide “Click it or Ticket” campaign, which began yesterday (tues) and runs through Monday November 29th. In addition to issuing tickets to motorists and passengers who fail to use their seatbelts, C-H-P officers will also be ticketing impaired drivers.
