3 separate shootings in Salinas last night has left one person dead and 1 wounded. The first shooting occurred at 6:23 p.m. at North Main Street and East Bolivar when a 16-year old was struck by shots fired from occupants inside a 4-door black Cadillac sedan. The victim was taken to a local hospital where he was treated and released. About an hour later at 7:10, on the 200 block of Margaret Avenue, a home and a car parked in the driveway of the home, were struck during a drive-by shooting. Police say 2 teens, who have an association with gangs, were the intended targets, no one was injured during that shooting.Nearly an hour later at 8 p.m, 18-year old Ivan Lopez Zepeda was fatally shot multiple times on the 1500 block of Falcon drive. The suspect vehicle was described as a 4-door sedan. Police say this homicide is being investigated as gang related. Anyone with information is asked to call the crime tip line at 1-800-78-CRIME.
