MORE STAFF POSSIBLE FOR P.V. SCHOOLS 11-19-10 08:30 a.v.

Schools in the Pajaro Valley could see more staff next year since state funding, which was cut last year, has now been restored. School board officials are now considering hiring additional office personnel, librarians and teachers as a way of spending 3.3 million dollars in Federal Stimulus funding, which has been provided for job creation. Library Technicians are some of the positions which were cut last year but have since been restored through the end of the current school year.

A proposal for the 2011-2012 school year is considering adding relief teachers for kindergarten through 3rd grade teachers and keeping the library technicians on the job as well as adding one counselor at each of the middle schools.
