CA. COASTAL COMMISSION MTG. 11-18-10 19:50 a.v.

During a meeting today, the California Coastal Commission agreed on several issues concerning the Santa Cruz’s Arana Gulch project and the harbor. Commissioners decided to grant the city of Santa Cruz a waiver to bring back the Arana Gulch bike path and tarplant restoration project before April. The commission also agreed to grant the Santa Cruz Port District a 6-month extension on it’s permit to dredge in the harbor area. The extension affords the Port District time to review the dredging operation, which is needed every winter to allow boats to enter the harbor.
