A 20-year old Soquel man was arrested on DUI charges after colliding into a tree early this morning. The just after midnight incident occurred when Donovan Hicks Barclay the 3rd was traveling north on Highway 35 when he veered off the east road edge and struck a tree on the east shoulder of the highway. Barclay was taken to the hospital where he was treated for his injuries before being arrested for misdemeanor DUI and 2 other misdemeanor DUI related charges including having a blood-alcohol content of more than 0.15%.
