PLANNED POWER OUTAGE – 8K w/o power – 11/15/10 18:40 S.S.

ABOUT  8  THOUSAND  MONTEREY  PENINSULA  P.G. & E.  CUSTOMERS  CAN  EXPECT  TO  HAVE  NO  POWER FOR  THE  EARLY  MORNING  HOURS  OF  WEDNESDAY  MORNING  THIS  WEEK.    THE  MIDNIGHT:30  –  4:30  A.M.  OUTAGE  IS  PLANNED  SO  THAT  P. G, & E.  WORKERS  CAN  WORK  ON  SOME  EQUIPMENT  IN  THE  MONTEREY  SUBSTATION, WHICH  IS  LOCATED ON  NORTH  FREMONT  STREET NEAR  CASANOVA  AVENUE.      The  WORK  IS  DESIGNED  TO  HELP  IMPROVE  SERVICE  RELIABILITY  DURING  WINTER  STORMS.

The scheduled power outage will affect areas of Seaside, Sand City, Del Rey Oaks, Monterey, Carmel Valley and the Monterey-Salinas Highway corridor. The outage includes Del Monte Avenue from Casa Verde Way in Monterey to the Gateway Auto Center in Seaside, English Avenue, Virgin Street, Trinity Avenue, Contra Costa Street and Military Avenue. Canyon Del Rey Boulevard to San Pablo Avenue between Fremont Boulevard and Noche Buena Street, along Monterey-Salinas Highway from Olmsted Road to Laureles Grade and south along Laureles Grade to Carmel Valley Road.
