S.C. DESALINATION PLANT MTG. 11-10-10 11:30 a.v.

A meeting about the effects of a proposed desalination project on the marine environment will take place tonight in Santa Cruz. The meeting is the 4th in a series co-hosted by the Santa Cruz Water Department and the Soquel Creek Water District. The desalination plant is said to provide up to 2.5 million gallons of water per day. Concerns over the expense of building the plant and using recycled water will be discussed. The meeting is slated to take place from 6:30 to 9 p.m. at the Louden Nelson Community Center located at 301 Center Street in Santa Cruz.
