Beginning this week, the Walnut Avenue Women’s Center in Santa Cruz will now expand it’s services due to help from the state. The restored funding for domestic violence services will now allow the center, which is located at 303 Walnut Avenue, to re-open on Wednesdays again. The funding also allows increased hours for youth development, teen dating violence prevention and childcare during support groups and peer counseling appointments.
