A number of celebrations and events in honor of Veteran’s Day have been planned for the central coast. On Monday, Mount Toro High School held a flag-raising ceremony in which 10 veterans participated. On Thursday, the Garden of Memories and the Queen of Heaven cemeteries will be decorated with American flags. Prunedale’s American Legion Post 593 will offer free food for veterans from 1 to 4 P.M. In Watsonville, the Walk of Honor Parade is scheduled for Thursday, and in Hollister, the 9th annual Veterans Day Parade is slated for 1 p.m. A breakfast fundraiser for local veterans will also be held at 7 a.m. At the San Benito High School cafeteria.
