SPEAKER PLEADS NOT GUILTY TODAY 11-04-10 10:50 a.v.
A 17-year old, accused of fatally shooting a Watsonville store owner last month, pleaded “not guilty” today. Christian Speaker is accused of fatally shooting Yahya Saleh Ali Ahmed during a robbery at the Fiesta Latino Market last month. Speaker entered his plea today after refraining from entering a plea when he first appeared in court last month. Speaker also has a criminal record involving robberies and weapons possession. His preliminary hearing has been scheduled for January 10th.
