CHECK YOUR SMOKE ALARMS 11-04-10 10:00 a.v.

Daylight savings time ends this Sunday November 7th, and according to officials with the Central Fire Protection District, this is a good time to remember to change the batteries of your smoke alarm. Smoke alarms are a necessary part of a home safety plan, but only if they are properly maintained. If you do NOT have a smoke alarm in your home, Central Fire District will install a battery operated smoke alarm in your home, or change the batteries in existing alarms. This is a free service offered for residents living within the central fire protection district. For more information, contact the fire Prevention Division at 930 17th Avenue. If you do not live within Central Fire District, contact your local fire department at www.centralfpd.com.
