Proceeds from a fund-raising event will go towards helping a Ben Lomond man pay for his dog’s surgery. 3-year old Marge lost the use of her front leg during a truck accident about a month ago. Surgery to remove the leg will cost Marge’s owner, 34-year old Johnny Hostetter roughly $4,000. Hostetter, who works at the Scarborough Ace Hardware in Scotts Valley, is asking for the community’s support. A barbecue will be held Saturday at the Ace Hardware on 218 Mount Hermon Road in Scotts Valley beginning at 11 a.m. Proceeds from hot dog and soda sales will help pay for Marge’s surgery.
